The FilmmakersSTEVE ANDERSON - Director and ProducerSteve Anderson made his feature film writing and directing debut with THE BIG EMPTY which starred Jon Favreau, Kelsey Grammer, and Daryl Hannah. It was one of the ten films selected for the American Directions portion of the 2003 American Film Institute Film Festival, where it had its world premiere. A Peabody Award winning cameraman, Steve Anderson has shot seven national documentaries for PBS and thousands of hours of broadcast television. He's been charged by lions on the Serengeti Plain, caught fire in the Malibu fires and been rattled homeless by an earthquake. He's been blessed by Mother Teresa; seen John Wayne Bobbit's penis and even once danced with Angelyne. Anderson has gotten drunk with Captain Kangaroo, been trained as a Hollywood stunt driver and flown upside-down with the Ray-Ban Gold Aerial Acrobatic Team. He's been shot at in the L.A. riots, chased O.J. up the freeway and witnessed both breast and ass implants. Anderson has lounged in the grotto at the Playboy Mansion, walked the red carpet at the Oscars and met celebrities, politicians and movie stars from the Flying Elvises to Bozo the Clown to President Bush. STEVEN G. KAPLAN - Executive ProducerSteven G. Kaplan founded Rainstorm Entertainment in 2002, having had a successful run as an original founder of Giant Leap Entertainment, the production company behind Terror Tract, the comedic horror flick starring the late John Ritter. Kaplan is producing the upcoming Rainstorm Entertainment features FROST BITES, GEROUGE and THE GREEN FALCON. Mr. Kaplan has arranged the financing and is serving as executive producer on ATTU, F*CK (world premiering at this year's AFI Fest), BREAKING NEWS (in post) and BIG BAD WOLF . Kaplan's last flick was THE BIG EMPTY (starring Jon Favreau, Daryl Hannah, Rachael Leigh Cook, Kelsey Grammer and Sean Bean) which was distributed domestically through Lion's Gate. Steve is also the co-founder of Launchpad Releasing, LLC, an independent theatrical film distribution company which is releasing its first picture, KIDS IN AMERICA (starring Gregory Smith, Nicole Richie, Julie Bowen, Samantha Mathis and Adam Arkin) in over 700 theaters nationwide starting October 21, 2005. In addition to producing, financing, selling and distributing feature films, Kaplan is a law professional with well-respected business insight, representing independent filmmakers, writers and directors. After receiving his B.A. from U.C.L.A. in 1985, Kaplan attended Oxford University and Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, earning his J.D. in 1988. An avid scuba diver (over 1,000 dives), contemporary art collector, wine drinker, film fan, and traveler, Steve's greatest passion is life, family, and fun. BRUCE LEISEROWITZ - Executive ProducerBruce Leiserowitz is an attorney in Los Angeles; he graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law in 1984 after receiving his undergraduate degree from Stanford University. He has represented clients in the entertainment industry, and this is his first role as an Executive Producer. Bruce suspects that his work on this film will prevent him from serving on the U.S. Supreme Court, but as the film shows, a future in politics is not ruled out. GREGG L. DANIEL - Executive ProducerA member of the Producers Guild of America and a graduate of the American Film Institute's producing fellowship program, Daniel began his career assisting director Paul Aaron on the Glenn Close film MAXIE. He has held posts at The Walt Disney Company, coordinating visual effects for George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola on CAPTAIN EO, served as a studio liaison on numerous Touchstone Film productions, and worked in the production departments of Jim Abrahams BIG BUSINESS, Garry Marshall's BEACHES, and Steven Spielberg's ALWAYS. He was the producer of TERROR TRACT, which premiered on the USA Network and won the "Silver Raven" and "Prize of the Audience" awards at the Brussels International Festival of Fantasy Films, as well as "Best Feature" at the Rhode Island Horror Film Festival and "Shreikfest" in Los Angeles. Daniel was the producer of THE BIG EMPTY, starring Jon Favreau and Rachael Leigh Cook, and is Executive Producer on Tom Putnam's upcoming WWII documentary "ATTU". JORY WEITZ - Executive ProducerJory Weitz was the executive producer of Napoleon Dynamite (Fox Searchlight and MTV Films), a huge hit at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and winner of the Best Feature award at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and Best Film at the 2005 MTV Film Awards. Weitz is currently producing a film titled Sleepless Beauty along with Gil Adler (producer of Constantine and the upcoming Superman Returns) and director Des McAnuff (Rocky and Bullwinkle), written by Larry Wilson (Beetlejuice and Addams Family). Weitz is also producing the fantasy/adventure film The Other Side with Antonio Banderas and Diane Sillan Isaacs' (Killing Pablo) company, Green Moon Productions. Prior to his successful producing debut with Napoleon, Weitz has had a distinguished career as a casting director, working with notable film directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Tim Burton, Stephen Frears, Ron Shelton, Stephen Norrington, and Kevin Costner. Weitz recently completed casting on the Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Film, Nacho Libre starring Jack Black and directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite). RICHARD ARDI - Executive ProducerRichard Ardi founded Wildcat Productions, Inc. in 1990 after spending many years helping independent producers attract attention to projects that would have otherwise never been produced. He is the executive producer of Bikini Island, Last Dance, Soul Mates and most recently Getting Hal. Getting Hal was produced through a partnership with Yahoo Online Auctions and Blockbuster Video. Richard graduated from California State University Northridge in 1980. He is an avid adrenaline junky which includes love for martial arts, Harleys, helicopter flying and off shore racing. IAN KENNEDY - Co-ProducerIan is a co-founder of BAD APPLE FILMS, an independent film production company of which F*CK is the first project. Ian is also Managing Director of North By Northwest Productions, a full-service film production and post production studio. He's served as Post Production Supervisor on more than 15 films, keeping his company on the technological cutting edge through pioneering uses of HD and 2K in independent film production. In 1998 Ian helped launch North By Northwest Entertainment, an international sales and distribution company and in his spare time produces the occasional television commercial. Ian Kennedy is a graduate of Washington State University. Go Cougs! CHRISTINE PECHERA - Co-ProducerChristine first paid her dues working for Roger Corman making "rubber monster space movies" at Corman's infamous movie studio in Venice, California. A native New Yorker, she studied at Syracuse University's Newhouse School and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, eventually graduating from the Film Production program at the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television. An award- winning filmmaker, Christine has directed, produced and shot a bevy of short films that have screened at festivals across the country. Christine has spent the night inside the Great Pyramid of Egypt, rescued a 200lb Dutchman from drowning off the coast of Bali, flew off a cliff on a snowmobile, and kissed the Blarney Stone. A recent cancer survivor, Christine's quest is to proliferate love, suck the juice out of life and jostle the world. FUCK cancer. CHRISTINE BEEBE- Co-ProducerChristine began on "Fuck" as our official Academy of Motion Pictures, Television and Sciences Intern. After suffering Steve's many requests and demands for lunch and office supplies, she went back to school and received her Master's Degree in Film Directing from CalArts. Upon her return, Steve recognized her great ability for montage and mise-en-cine and upped her "Fuck" credit to Co-Producer. She hopes one day to have Academy interns of her own to send to Starbucks for her Venti Chai Soy lattes. Her new short, "The Band," that she wrote and directed, has hit the festival circuit and we are all confident that Christine soon will be able to tell Steve to permanently fuck off. BILL PLYMPTON - AnimationAn Oscar-nominated animator and cartoonist, Bill Plympton has been amusing and provoking audiences with his surrealist, off-kilter take on everyday life for years. His illustrations graced the pages of such diverse publications as The New York Times, Vogue, House Beautiful, Penthouse, Rolling Stone, and Glamour. In 1975 he began the cartoon strip Plympton in the Soho Weekly News. His collaboration with songwriter Maureen McElheron, Your Face, a beautifully disturbing animated short, earned an Academy Award nomination. The success of the film increased his popularity, and Plympton's work began appearing with increasing frequency on MTV and at various animation festivals, and following a string of prize-winning shorts ("One of Those Days," "How to Kiss," "25 Ways to Quit Smoking," and "Plymptoons"). His last short, "Guard Dog" earned him another Oscar nomination in 2004. DONDI BASTONE- Music SupervisiorHaving first cut his teeth on Barry Sonnenfeld's GET SHORTY over a decade ago, Dondi has since supervised music for more than thirty film and television projects, including SIDEWAYS and ELECTION for Director Alexander Payne, Ed Harris' decade-long labor of love and directorial debut, POLLOCK, writer-director-star Matt Dillon's CITY OF GHOSTS and THE HUMAN STAIN for legendary Oscar winning writer/director Robert Benton. You can add to this list Steve Anderson with whom Dondi first worked on THE BIG EMPTY, Steve's debut feature. Other credits include the films HOME FRIES, THE CREW, NO VACANCY, SEX MONSTER, A TIME FOR DANCING, JOSHUA, HBO's PORNUCOPIA, the Emmy winning documentary series AMERICAN HIGH and its follow-up FRESHMAN DIARIES. ANDRE FONTANELLE - Director of PhotographyAndre is a freelance videographer living Los Angeles. He graduated from Seton Hall University 1984 and has been working in the field for the past 18 years. He spent much of his time shooting in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut before moving to Los Angeles six years ago. His work has appeared on just about every broadcast and cable channel or network. While working, he has been in every state in the country save Idaho and Alaska. Andre has had the pleasure of meeting every living president, been charged by a Panther, scratched by a Kodiak bear and been shot at by gang members. He hopes this endeavor will fall somewhere in the middle of those favorite work related experiences. JASON A. PAYNE - On-Line EditorJason Payne, a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University, is the Senior Editor at North by Northwest Entertainment, in Spokane, WA. His documentary and behind-the-scenes work for films such as Whacked!, Hangman's Curse, and The Choke, has been featured on both DVD and television. In 2004, Jason co-produced and edited the nationally televised, Making The Passion of The Christ, an hour-long behind the scenes documentary on the making of Mel Gibson's film. An editor with diverse tastes and the uncanny ability to work across genres, Mr. Payne recently edited the teen horror flick, The Choke, and the Chuck Norris round-house kick fest, The Cutter. He is currently in post-production on the family comedy, Frank, starring Jon Gries, Cynthia Watros, and Garrett Morris. Jason's mom is very proud that her son has climbed the career ladder from Making The Passion to Fuck, in just two years time. |
